The Ugly Duckling

The Ugly Duckling is a story about the mockery that was made of the duck that looked different than the all the others. He was lonely, discouraged, and afraid. Other animals encouraged him to try to blend in and be something he wasn't.  He just couldn't bring himself to do it and it's because he was never a duck at all. He was a Swan! He was a symbol of grace, elegance, inner beauty, and wisdom. This piece is the perfect reminder that sometimes the acceptance and sense of belonging we seek starts from within. Sometimes we are isolated because we aren't ducks at all. We are a flight of Swans!
